Tangier is a prosperous harbour and touristic town in the North
of Morocco facing the Spanish Costa del Sol and Gibraltar coasts.
According to the mythology, Tangier was founded by Anteus, son
of Poseidon who named the town after his wife Tingis. It was occupied
by the Arabs from the 8th to the 15th century and was under European
domination from the 15th to 20th century: Portuguese, Spanish
, English, French. Tangier was a bustling international zone from
1923 to 1956 and many artists, painters, writers, architects have
left their imprint on this mythical town.
Climate : mild climate (13°C in winter up to 25°C in summer),
rainy and windy season in winter.
